Heritage Value:  The W.R. McCloskey Home is designated a Local Historic Place for its architecture, for its association with its long-time resident William McCloskey and for its associative historical significance within the community. The W.R. McCloskey Home is the finest example of Queen Anne Revival architecture within the area, having much of its extensive ornament remains, It was originally constructed for David Sansom about 1904. Sansom was a relative of an accountant for local lumberman William Richards. Sansom was also business manager of the Boiestown Record, a very short lived 1901 newspaper, having only on issue published.

Description: The William Richards Residence is a Classic Revival two and a half storey home contracted in 1891. It is situated on the south side of the main thoroughfare leading through the Boiestown region of Rural Community of Upper Miramichi and is located within a grouping of period homes.

Heritage Value: The William Richards Residence is designated a Local Historic Place for its architecture and for its association with its first resident. It is a good example of Classical Revival residential architecture prior to the turn of the 10th century. This style is evident in such Classical details such as the returned eaves, the corner boards with capitals and the window entablatures. It also exhibits a traditional L-shaped plan that is typical to a rural interpretation of this style.

Description: The Wilson Family Homestead is a one and a half storey Classic Revival residence constructed circa 1878. It is situated on the north side of the McNamee Road near the Holt Road junction in the Rural Community of Upper Miramichi.

Heritage Value: The Wilson Family Homestead is designated a Local Historic Place for its associative historical significance within the community. The residence was the second Wilson home built on this land granted to the Wilson Family in 1809. The current home was constructed about 1878 for John R. Wilson and many additions were subsequently made with the ensuing generations, business and trade venture.
