Mullin's Boom A Theatrical Production May 6th 2023 $15.00 Members - $20.00 Non-Members Step back in time and experience the lively and entertaining theatrical production of Mullin’s Boom, brought to you by Character Matters Miramichi at the Woodmen’s Museum. Join us as we commemorate the 200th anniversary of the first settler “folksong” written in 1823, which narrated the story of a showdown between local lumbermen and loggers from Maine along the Southwest Miramichi. With its relaxed and humorous tone, Mullin’s Boom will transport you to a world of saws, axes, and rival loggers. Follow the Irish woodsmen as they escape from jail and find themselves working alongside the logging crews of Robert Doak. Little do they know that they will soon face off against Thomas Boies and his crew of loggers from Maine. Confusion and excitement ensue as these two groups of woodsmen battle it out, immortalized in verse. Don’t miss out on this exciting and unique performance at the Woodmen’s Museum. Join us as we celebrate local history and culture with Mullin’s Boom. Contact us now to find out how you can partner with us and support this amazing production.
