Nature NB Workshops

Join Nature NB for a fun and educational Canada celebration at our special event workshops for kids aged 4-17! Our Plants and Trees workshop from 12pm-1pm will teach kids about the different parts of plants and trees, why they're important, and how to identify common species. Then, our Tracks, Scat, and Skill Workshop from 1pm-2pm will turn kids into detectives as they learn about mammals in New Brunswick and find clues animals leave behind. We'll even take a walk around to look for real tracks, scat, and other clues. This is a unique opportunity for kids to learn about the natural world around them and have fun in the process. These events require registration, register for one or both! The Central New Brunswick Woodmen's Museum is exited to announce the return of the  LUMBERJACK CHAMPIONSHIP! Get ready for an action-packed day of competition as the Woodmen's Museum Lumberjack Championship returns! After a hiatus due to COVID, we're thrilled to announce that this exciting event is back and better than ever. Watch as lumberjacks from around the region compete in a variety of events, showcasing their strength, agility, and precision with an axe, saw, and other traditional logging tools. From log rolling to axe throwing, there's something for everyone at this adrenaline-fueled event. We'll also have food and refreshments available, as well as plenty of opportunities to connect with other fans of traditional logging sports and celebrate the history and culture of our region.
